The Nigerian women’s national basketball team has announced a provisional squad ahead of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup Qualifying Tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from March 11 to 17, 2026, in Lyon.

Nigeria’s Fixtures in Lyon

Nigeria will begin its qualifying campaign against Colombia on March 11, before facing South Korea on March 12.

They will then take on the Philippines on March 14, host France on March 15, and conclude their group fixtures against Germany on March 17.

Building on Past Appearances

Nigeria previously featured at the tournament in 2006 and 2018. D’Tigress will look to build on their growing international reputation and mount a strong challenge on the global stage in Lyon.
