In an interview with HipTV, he shared his views on the role of hypemen, the growth of Nigerian music, and creative authenticity.

Do2dtun’s Thoughts On Role Of Hypemen

Do2dtun said hypemen and media personalities serve as key links between artistes and their audiences. He described them as essential connectors within the music ecosystem.

“Connecting artistes to their fans is important. We are the link, we are the gatekeepers, we are the connection,” he said.

He added that his career has focused on strengthening this relationship. “I have become a bridge and still make it better,” he explained.

State Of Nigerian Music

Speaking on the industry, Do2dtun described Nigerian music as being in a phase of growth and adjustment, driven by rising global recognition.

“The best way to describe where we are is developmental,” he said, pointing to Grammy recognition and stadium tours as signs of progress. He stressed the need for structure and wider participation beyond a few dominant acts.

“We need more people to step out, not only the big three or big four,” he added.

Advice To Creatives

“Always be yourself, work for everybody,” he said.
