DJ Premier has confirmed the release date for his long-awaited collaborative album with rapper Nas. The album is scheduled to arrive on December 12, 2025.
Premier made the official announcement during the second night of his ongoing world tour with The Alchemist.
He stated: “How many people are ready for that Nas Premier album? Are you ready for it? December 12 — get ready!”
The untitled project is confirmed to be the final installment in Nas’ acclaimed “Legend Has It” series, released through his Mass Appeal imprint. The series focuses on full-length album collaborations between hip-hop icons and premier producers.
The duo previously collaborated on classic tracks from Nas’ debut album, “Illmatic”, including “N.Y. State of Mind.” They also released the single “Define My Name” in April 2024 as a potential preview for the full project.
The collaboration will close a busy year for the “Legend Has It” series, which included new albums with Raekwon, Slick Rick, Ghostface Killah, and Mobb Deep which was produced by Havoc. The anticipated album follows decades of fan requests for a full joint project between Nas and DJ Premier.
