Davido Lights Up Lagos With Sold-Out Christmas Day Concert

Davido thrilled Lagos fans on Christmas Day 2025, delivering a high-energy performance at the Eko Convention Centre to cap the Nigerian leg of his “5ive” tour. The sold-out show brought fans together, celebrating the season with music and excitement.

The singer, a global ambassador for Afrobeats, opened his set with tracks from his latest album 5ive, blending them seamlessly with career-defining hits. Fans enjoyed a dynamic setlist that showcased both his growth and signature sound.

Surprise Guests Electrify The Crowd

Davido brought out surprise guests during his headline performance. He invited Adekunle Gold for a high-energy rendition of their collaboration “High”, while rapper Naeto C joined him on stage for a nostalgic throwback to “Back When”, one of Davido’s early features.

DMW artists Morravey and Ecool performed before or alongside him, adding to the family vibes that made the show feel intimate yet massive.

Global Success of Davido’s “5ive Alive” Tour

The tour visited key Nigerian cities, including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, and Ibadan, before returning home to Lagos for the grand finale. Davido has dominated 2025 as the only Nigerian artiste to successfully headline his own tour this year, proving his unmatched appeal at home and abroad.

The “5ive Alive” tour has spanned Nigeria’s major cities, top African hubs like Johannesburg and Accra, and international stages in the United States and London, with every arena and stadium sold out. Unlike many peers who have only performed at festivals or as guests, Davido ran full-scale headline shows from start to finish, confirming his ability to independently carry a tour.
