Nigerian music superstar Davido and his wife Chioma Rowland have welcomed a set of twins; a boy and a girl, marking a heartwarming new beginning for the couple after the loss of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in 2022.

The joyful news broke in October 2023 after a video went viral showing Davido and Chioma leaving a hospital in the United States. Chioma was seen carrying the twins while Davido smiled proudly beside her, waving to well-wishers.

The couple, who kept the pregnancy private, received an outpouring of love from fans and fellow celebrities. Hashtags like #DavidoTwins and #DoubleBlessings trended across social media, with fans describing the moment as “divine compensation” and “God’s perfect timing.”

The twins’ birth comes almost exactly a year after the tragic passing of their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s Lagos home. The loss led Davido to step away from public life for several months before gradually returning to music.

Reflecting on the emotional journey, Davido shared that he and Chioma were “shaking when we found out” they were expecting twins, calling it a sign of divine mercy.

Friends and celebrities including Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, and Cubana Chief Priest joined millions of fans in celebrating the couple’s double blessing.

For Davido and Chioma, this marks not just the start of a new chapter, but a story of faith, love, and restoration. One that continues to inspire fans across the world.
