Authorities in California are moving closer to a possible indictment in the ongoing investigation connected to the death of teenager Celeste Rivas, with singer d4vd named among those under scrutiny in the case.
Review Underway
A grand jury has been reviewing testimony linked to the investigation, which centres on events surrounding Rivas’ death. Legal sources say the panel is reviewing evidence that prosecutors have presented as part of a process to determine whether to issue formal charges. No indictment has been announced at this stage.
The proceedings include testimony from individuals connected to d4vd’s professional operations. Among those questioned was Robert Morgenroth, identified as a senior executive involved with the singer’s touring and management activities.
Vehicle Impound And Ongoing Review
He appeared before the grand jury over several sessions and responded to questions related to the timeline under review. During questioning, Morgenroth reportedly explained why he did not contact law enforcement earlier regarding certain matters. He said, “I didn’t feel it was my responsibility to make that call,” adding that he focused on continuing scheduled tour commitments at the time.
Investigators are examining a Tesla registered to d4vd after they impounded the vehicle, which led them to open the investigation. Authorities have not publicly detailed conclusions from forensic examinations, and several records remain sealed by court order. At present, prosecutors have not confirmed when they will make a final decision on potential indictments.
