A judge has denied a request for sanctions filed by podcaster Milagro Gramz against Megan Thee Stallion in their ongoing defamation lawsuit. Chief Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga issued the ruling during the sixth day of testimony in the Southern District of Florida courtroom.
Milagro Gramz, sought to penalize Megan Thee Stallion, for two alleged violations of a court-imposed gag order. The order, established in June 2025, prohibits both parties from discussing the case publicly. Gramz’s legal team argued that a social media post made by Megan, which stated, “Just because you have freedom of speech does not mean that you have freedom to bully!”, incited harassment.
Judge Altonaga rejected the motion, writing in her order that the cited statements “did not constitute clear violations under the terms of the gag order.” She added that sanctions require a demonstrable higher threshold of harm.
The lawsuit was filed in October 2024 by Megan Thee Stallion, alleging that Gramz engaged in a “campaign of harassment” on behalf of rapper Tory Lanez. Lanez was convicted and sentenced in 2023 for the 2020 shooting incident involving Megan.
The trial, on November 17, is expected to continue through the end of November.
