Clipse and Mavis Staples have been nominated for the 15th annual Libera Awards.
The ceremony is set for June 8 at Gotham Hall in New York City, celebrating achievements in independent music worldwide.

Clipse’s “Let God Sort Em Out”, which earned Grammy Awards nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, is up for Record of the Year.

A new category, Independent Record Store of the Year, has been introduced to celebrate the continued impact of indie music retailers.
Event Host and Indie Week
Delisa Shannon, Billboard’s short-form content director, will host the awards ceremony.
The event also opens Indie Week, a three-day conference running from June 9 to 11 at the InterContinental New York Times Square.
Indie Week will bring together artistes, label executives, and industry professionals to discuss trends, celebrate achievements, and showcase independent music.
