BTS Reunite and Confirm New Album Release for March

K-pop stars BTS have confirmed a return to group activity, with a new album scheduled for release on 20 March 2026. The announcement was made on 1 January 2026.

The group stopped working together after 2022 due to South Korea’s mandatory military service requirements. Each BTS member entered service at different times, which made it impossible for them to promote or release music together. The pause allowed individual projects while completing their service.

Group Confirms Return With New Project

The announcement stated that the March release will mark the group’s next official project as a unit. It also confirmed that the release forms part of a wider promotional schedule. Further activity linked to the project will be announced separately through official platforms.

Project Updates

Before the formal announcement, RM, one of the group’s members, wrote, “The music is coming out really well.” Jungkook later said in an interview, “I think this spring will be more important than ever.”

BTS is widely recognised as one of the most popular K-pop groups globally. The group has received multiple Grammy nominations and has earned several number one albums on the Billboard 200. Their catalogue includes globally recognised singles that have topped international charts and contributed to record-breaking touring history.
