Bruno Mars’ album “The Romantic” has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The record sold 186,000 equivalent album units in its first week to become his first full-length project to enter the chart at the summit.
First No. 1 Album in Over a Decade
The achievement ends a 13-year gap since Mars’ previous No. 1 album, Unorthodox Jukebox, which took three months to reach the top in 2013.
His 2016 release, 24K Magic, peaked at No. 2. As part of the duo Silk Sonic, Mars’ 2021 album An Evening with Silk Sonic also reached No. 2.
Strong Sales and Streaming Numbers
The album’s strong performance was supported by its ten vinyl variants, which contributed 48,000 units to first-week sales.
In addition, the project accumulated 93.95 million on-demand audio streams across its nine tracks.
Hit Single Leads the Album
The album’s lead single “I Just Might” is the artiste’s tenth number one song on the Billboard Hot 100.
“The Romantic” blends funk, R&B, and Latin-inspired sounds, showcasing Mars’ signature musical style.
Record Label Statement
Atlantic Records said of the album:
