Billie Eilish has been honoured at the 2026 MLK Jr. Beloved Community Awards in Atlanta, receiving the Environmental Justice Award for her work on climate responsibility.
Recognition of Activism
The ceremony formed part of The King Center’s annual holiday programme, which celebrates public figures whose work reflects the principles of Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
The awards aim to connect King’s legacy with modern leadership across culture, business, and public life, promoting equality, non-violence, and civic responsibility.
Climate Action and Impact
In 2025, Eilish pledged $11.5 million from tour proceeds to climate justice and food equity organisations. The funding supports initiatives focused on environmental protection and access to food.
She has also partnered with Global Citizen, allowing fans to earn concert tickets by participating in climate action campaigns. Speaking on the issue, Eilish has said:
“We’re in a climate emergency.”
