Barcelona powered into the Spanish Super Cup final with a dominant 5–0 win over Athletic Bilbao in Wednesday’s semi-final in Jeddah. The result extends Barca’s winning streak to nine matches and underlines their strong form heading into the business end of the season.
Four-Goal First-Half Onslaught
Barcelona put the tie beyond Bilbao before the break, racing into a commanding 4–0 lead. Ferran Torres opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, controlling an awkward ball from Fermin Lopez before finishing from close range.
Eight minutes later, Raphinha surged down the byline and picked out Fermin, who applied a clever finish from the centre of the box. Fermin then turned provider in the 34th minute, slipping a neat pass into the area for Roony Bardghji to create space and fire low past the goalkeeper.
Raphinha capped a devastating first half by bursting into the box and smashing a fierce strike into the roof of the net to make it 4–0 at the interval.

Barcelona showed no let-up after the restart. Seven minutes into the second half, Bilbao failed to clear their lines, and Raphinha reacted quickest, drilling a left-footed shot into the net to score his second of the night and complete the rout.

The emphatic victory sends Barcelona into Sunday’s final in Jeddah. They will face either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, who meet in Thursday’s second semi-final. The Catalans are chasing a record-extending 15th Spanish Super Cup title.
