Marvel Studios has released the first teaser for Avengers: Doomsday, offering the earliest look at the next Avengers film. The footage debuted online after exclusive cinema screenings alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash.
The Returning Character
The teaser includes the return of Chris Evans (Captain America). He is shown arriving at a farmhouse on a motorcycle before later holding a newborn child inside the house. Evans last appeared in Avengers: Endgame in 2019, following the defeat of Thanos. He completed a mission to return the Infinity Stones across timelines before passing the Captain America shield to Sam Wilson.
Teaser Style And Presentation
The teaser runs without dialogue and focuses solely on Evans. A piano version of the Avengers music plays throughout the footage. The camera briefly rests on his Captain America helmet before cutting to a title card that reads, “Evans will return in Avengers: Doomsday,” followed by a countdown timer.
Release Details
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in cinemas on 18 December 2026. No additional characters appear in the teaser, and no plot details are disclosed. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who return to direct the project, spoke of the character’s return in a short social media message.
The character that changed our lives. The story that brought us all here together, they wrote.
