A$AP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb Reaches 500K Spotify Pre-Saves

A$AP Rocky’s forthcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, has hit 500,000 pre-saves on Spotify, according to current platform data. The figure reflects user pre-save activity on Spotify alone ahead of the album’s scheduled release on 16 January 2026.

Background To The Rollout

The increase follows a long and uneven release process for the project. Early album plans were disrupted in 2024 due to cancelled physical pre-orders and shifting timelines. At that stage, no confirmed release date accompanied the album’s initial announcement.

Streaming Activity And New Single

Spotify’s current listings place Don’t Be Dumb among the most pre-saved unreleased albums on the platform. A pre-save on Spotify allows a user to add an unreleased album or song to their library before its release date.

The album’s renewed attention coincides with the scheduled release of the single “Punk Rocky” on 5 January 2026. The track is set to launch alongside a music video featuring Winona Ryder.

Rocky Addresses Album Timing

Speaking about his approach to the album, Rocky said, “I wanted to take my time with this record.” He added, “It had to come out when it was ready.”

Don’t Be Dumb is scheduled for release on 16 January 2026. It is A$AP Rocky’s first studio album in eight years.
