Ariana Grande has sparked speculation about a possible eighth studio album after sharing a series of cryptic hints with fans.
Cryptic Hotline Message
On March 28, 2026, Grande left a voice message on her “Brighter Days” hotline, exactly one year after the deluxe reissue of her album Eternal Sunshine.
In the message, she said:
“We’re counting down the 8s… oops, I meant the days!”
A statement many believe references her eighth album while also tying into her upcoming world tour.
Social Media Clues
Grande further fueled speculation by adjusting her Instagram following count to exactly eight people.
She also added a flower emoji with eight petals to her profile, posted studio selfies at 8:00 a.m., and was spotted recording in a studio frequently used by producer Max Martin.
In a video for her R.E.M. Beauty brand, she joked:
“I realize what I’ve done by using that number.”
Balancing Music and Film
While preparing for her role in Wicked: For Good, there are strong indications that Grande has also been recording new music alongside tour rehearsals.
Many fans believe the new project could arrive before her Eternal Sunshine Tour begins on June 6, 2026.
Expected Sound and Collaborations
The upcoming album is expected to blend the R&B influences of Positions with the cinematic style of Eternal Sunshine.
There is also anticipation for potential collaborations with The Weeknd and Victoria Monét.
In a recent newsletter, Grande shared her excitement, stating:
“I am having fun… I feel grateful and excited and inspired.”
Tour Demand and Fan Anticipation
More than 41 dates across North America and London have already sold out, highlighting strong demand ahead of the tour.
For now, the “Brighter Days” hotline remains the primary source for updates as fans await official confirmation of the new album.
