Anthony Joshua Knocks Out Jake Paul in Sixth Round in Miami

The fight had been slower than some expected, with Paul largely evading exchanges in the early rounds. However, going into the fifth round, Joshua began to impose his power. Paul was dropped twice in round five and finally floored again in round six before the referee waved off the contest.

Joshua acknowledged the delay in finishing the bout but praised Paul’s courage. “It wasn’t the best performance … but the right hand finally found its destination,” Joshua said after the win. Joshua also called out fellow former British heavyweight Tyson Fury to fight him next. “Let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists.” Joshua said.

Jake Paul Confirms Injury After Defeat

Paul, 28, confirmed he suffered a serious injury in defeat. “I think my jaw is broken. It’s definitely broke,” he said, adding he still loves the sport and plans a return as he recovers, with ambitions to compete at the cruiserweight class.
