Luka Dončić Scores 51 Points As Lakers Beat Bulls

The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 142–130 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.

Luka Dončić delivered a dominant performance with 51 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Strong Support From Lakers Teammates

Austin Reaves added 30 points while Deandre Ayton contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds.

LeBron James chipped in with 18 points and Rui Hachimura scored 15 as the Lakers secured their fourth straight win and sixth consecutive home victory.

The result moves Los Angeles into third place in the Western Conference.

Dončić Delivers Historic Performance

Dončić, playing his first 50-point game since the 2023–24 season, shot 17-of-31 from the field and 9-of-14 from three-point range.

It marked the eighth 50-point game of his career and his first since joining the Lakers.

Los Angeles shot 55.6% from the floor and improved to seven wins in their last eight games.

Bulls Stay Competitive

Despite the defeat, Chicago remained competitive throughout the game.

Josh Giddey recorded 27 points and 15 assists, while Matas Buzelis added 22 points.

The Bulls, who were without several injured players including Collin Sexton and Anfernee Simons, slipped to 3–3 after previously enduring an 11-game losing streak.

Lakers Hold Off Late Chicago Push

The Lakers built a 22-point lead in the third quarter before Chicago fought back to cut the deficit to 10 entering the final period.

However, Reaves hit a crucial three-pointer before Dončić’s late scoring burst pushed Los Angeles comfortably ahead to secure the win.
