Olivia Rodrigo has released a music video for her cover of The Book of Love, filmed by children living in war zones. The video was released alongside the charity album Help(2) released on 6 March 2026.
Video Captures Life in Conflict Zones
The visual shows children in Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and Yemen playing in streets, open fields, and in war-scarred environments.
Scenes capture moments of everyday life amid rubble, damaged roads, and destroyed buildings. Rodrigo’s vocals are accompanied by a live string section recorded in the studio.
Recording Session Details
Music producer James Ford described the recording session.
He stated:
“I talked Olivia into doing what we were calling a ‘Sinatra-style’ take, which was recording live with a string section. She was such a pro and was happy to take a gung-ho approach to it. She just walked into the studio and nailed it.”

Rodrigo’s Previous Comments on the Gaza War
Rodrigo has spoken about the Gaza war before. On Instagram in July 2025, she wrote:
“there are no words to describe the heartbreak I feel witnessing the devastation that is being inflicted upon innocent people … it is horrific and completely unacceptable. To give up on them is to give up on our shared humanity”.
