Cardi B brought out Megan Thee Stallion at her Houston concert on Thursday. Both rappers performed their 2020 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit WAP.

The surprise collaboration occurred during the Texas leg of the Little Miss Drama tour held at Houston’s Toyota Center.

Surprise Performance on Stage

The show opened with Cardi seated on stage wearing a glittering red outfit, rapping the opening verse of “WAP.” She then rose and introduced Megan Thee Stallion, stating:

“Ladies and gentlemen, your very own, Houston’s finest, Megan Thee Stallion.”

Megan subsequently emerged from a trap door, wearing a sparkling tartan mini skirt and matching top, before launching into her verse.

Cardi B Shares Backstage Moment

After the performance, Cardi shared a backstage photo with Megan Thee Stallion on Instagram.

In her caption, Cardi wrote:

“I love you so so so so so soooooo much!! thank you for coming.”

High-Profile Guests on the Tour

Megan Thee Stallion’s appearance is one of several high-profile guest performances on Cardi’s tour. Previous stops have featured appearances from:

  • GloRilla in Inglewood, California
  • Kehlani
  • Tyla
  • Blueface

Megan had previously joined Cardi at Madison Square Garden in May 2024 to perform both “WAP” and their other joint track, Bongos.

Record-Breaking Success of “WAP”

“WAP” became the first female rap collaboration to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and set the record for the largest opening streaming week for any song in the United States.

Houston Show Highlights

The Houston show also featured choreographed routines with male dancers and staged cash drops.

Cardi also addressed her upcoming tour stop in Austin, Texas, scheduled for today, 6 March. She indicated in a social media post that the Houston after-party had left her in high spirits, stating:

“Austin, word on my mother, if I don’t make it to that stage tomorrow, it was these Houston folks … they got me … Chicas Divertidas got me very atrevidas.”

The Houston concert further underscored the continued popularity of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s collaborations and their strong connection with fans.
