Megan Thee Stallion to Make Broadway Debut in 2026

Megan Thee Stallion is set to make her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, taking on the role of Zidler at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

Her performance will run for eight weeks, from 24 March to 17 May 2026.

First Woman to Play Zidler

The casting is historic, as Megan becomes the first woman to portray Zidler in the musical’s global production history.

Producer Carmen Pavlovic described her addition to the cast as “one of our biggest announcements in the history of Moulin Rouge! The Musical” and a highlight of the show’s closing celebrations.

A New Artistic Challenge

Megan shared her excitement about stepping into the Broadway spotlight, highlighting the discipline and preparation required for stage performance.

“Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor. Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me.”

Incorporating Her Music

The production team confirmed that her run will subtly incorporate some of her own music into the show’s existing pop-infused score.

The musical has previously featured songs from artistes such as OutKast, Britney Spears, and The Rolling Stones, making Megan’s contributions a seamless addition to its jukebox style.

Broadway Closing Date

The role of Zidler has been performed by notable entertainers in past productions, and Megan’s casting is expected to attract audiences who follow her music career while maintaining the show’s high-energy theatrical spectacle.

“Moulin Rouge! The Musical” is scheduled to close on Broadway on 26 July 2026.
