Taylor Swift’s single “Opalite” has reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her 14th number-one single globally.
The track is the second single from her album “The Life of a Showgirl” to reach the top position. “Opalite” initially debuted at number two before climbing to number one in a later chart update.
Swift Reacts to the Achievement
Swift acknowledged the milestone in a post shared on Instagram, alongside behind-the-scenes images and videos from the recording studio and music video set.
She wrote:
“Just a few Opalite memories to celebrate the Hot 100 #1 you guys just got this song!!”
She added:
“This is actually the first time I’ve had two Hot 100 #1s off of one album since my album 1989 came out in 2014, nearly twelve years ago!”
Production and Studio Moments
The single was produced by Max Martin and Shellback, long-time collaborators who have worked with Swift on multiple projects.
Studio footage shows the trio reviewing vocal takes and raising champagne glasses inside the recording space. Additional clips capture Swift rehearsing choreography for the song’s music video.
