Kehlani has hinted at a collaboration with rap duo Clipse on an upcoming studio album. The news emerged from a social media post shared during Grammy Week. The singer uploaded a photograph featuring Pusha T and Malice with the caption “Track two. @Clipse”.
Grammy Week Tease and Pharrell Connection
Kehlani has recently been seen recording with Pharrell Williams, a long-standing collaborator of Clipse. Pharrell fully produced the duo’s recent album Let God Sort Em Out, which has received multiple Grammy nominations.
Collaborative Direction of the Album
In an earlier interview with Inked Magazine, Kehlani addressed the collaborative direction of the project:
“I have way more collaborations than I’ve probably ever had, and they’re all people that I really, really respect.”
Confirmed Guest Artistes
Kehlani has already confirmed that Brandy and Usher will appear as guest artistes on the album. Both singers bring long-standing influence within contemporary R&B, expanding the project’s creative range.
Recent Success and Album Status
The forthcoming album follows Kehlani’s recent success with “Folded”, which delivered her first top-ten entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned Grammy nominations in the R&B categories. An official album title and release date have not yet been announced.
