A$AP Rocky has revealed how his mother, Renee Black, influenced his relationship with Rihanna.
Rocky explained that his mother and Rihanna were close friends and that she often encouraged him to take their relationship further.
Rocky Recalls His Mother’s Advice
“My mother used to say, ‘I know you like this girl that you are with right now, but I want you with Riri,’” Rocky recalled.
He admitted that he initially brushed off those conversations, later acknowledging that his mother’s instincts were right.
“Mothers know best,” he added.
From Friendship to Family
Rocky and Rihanna first met in 2012 during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. Their relationship became official in late 2020.
The couple now share three children: RZA, Riot, and Rocki. Rocky recently released his fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb.
