Billie Eilish has released the first trailer for Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour – Live in 3D, scheduled for a global cinema debut on 20 March 2026. The three-minute trailer introduces the film’s early scenes and performance highlights from Eilish’s tour
The film documents her largest tour to date, covering over 106 international shows across four continents. The trailer introduces a production combining major performance highlights with behind-the-scenes footage gathered throughout the extended schedule.
The film is co-directed by Billie Eilish and famed director of ‘Titanic’ and ‘Avatar’ James Cameron, who describes the work as innovative within the concert film space. “We’re using tech that’s never been used before… ‘No one’s shot a concert film on this scale,’ he said.
The trailer features fast-paced performance sequences mixed with quieter footage showing the singer interacting with her environment. Scenes include her watching fans waiting outside venues and taking photographs with them. Additional material presents moments from daily travel activities during the lengthy run.
A key segment shows Eilish reading a handwritten note from her brother Finneas before a show.
Eilish previously mentioned the project during her Manchester concerts in July. She told the audience, “I’m working on something very, very special with somebody named James Cameron.” Four Manchester shows filmed in 3D provide the core footage for the film, which also features material captured beyond those concerts.
