Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has announced substantial support for 22-year-old gospel singer Chris Vic.

The young artiste, whose full name is Christian Victor Eshiet, rose to prominence in 2025 following his performances on De9jaSpirit Talent Hunt Season 4, the live show that was held in Calabar on November 9. He finished as second runner-up (third place) and received ₦3 million as part of the prize.

In a post on his verified X account @PastorUmoh on December 7, 2025, Governor Eno revealed that he had instructed the Commissioner for Lands to allocate a plot of land to Chris Vic in Uyo.

The governor said he would personally sign the Certificate of Occupancy for the land. Beyond this, Eno pledged to construct a four-bedroom house for the singer and provide ₦100 million to establish a fully equipped music studio.

To support Chris Vic’s ongoing career and well-being, Governor Eno also announced that the singer would receive a monthly allowance of ₦1 million for the duration of his tenure in office. In his post, the governor said:

“Let this remind us that even in difficult moments, God is still good. Chris Vic shows us this.”

Chris Vic reportedly lost his sight at the age of five following complications from a glaucoma surgery. Despite this challenge, he developed a passion for gospel music and has continued to pursue it, performing live on talent shows.

His performances on De9jaSpirit Talent Hunt helped him build a following and brought him to the attention of audiences across Nigeria.
