LeBron James and Luka Dončić made impactful returns on Sunday as the Los Angeles Lakers held off the Philadelphia 76ers for a 112-108 victory.
Dončić delivered a characteristic triple-double: 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. James, efficient and composed, added 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists.
The game stayed close throughout. In the final minutes, James sank key baskets to build a five-point lead. Dončić then sealed the win with two free throws in the closing seconds.
For the 76ers, Tyrese Maxey stood out with 28 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Their big man, Joel Embiid, had a poor night, scoring 16 while shooting only 4-of-21 from the field.
The win marks a crucial one for the Los Angeles Lakers. They now face the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. The Philadelphia 76ers face the Indiana Pacers on Saturday.
