Wizkid has emerged as Nigeria’s most-streamed artist in 2025, according to Spotify Wrapped. He topped the list ahead of Seyi Vibez and Asake. His album Morayo claimed the No. 1 album spot in Nigeria for the year.
Morayo also made waves beyond Nigeria. On Apple Music, the album ranked as the most-streamed release in Sub-Saharan Africa for 2025. Twenty-five of Wizkid’s tracks appeared on Nigeria’s overall most-streamed songs list.
One standout track, Kese (Dance), fuelled both streaming and radio dominance. The song ranked among the most-streamed tracks of the year and earned heavy radio rotation nationwide.
Morayo alone has surpassed 435 million streams on Spotify as of November 2025. The album posted a record-breaking first-day stream count of more than 12.1 million on Spotify Nigeria.
Seyi Vibez, in second place, showcased remarkable growth throughout 2025. His album, Fuji Moto, debuted with over 4.5 million Spotify streams in its first 24 hours. This is Seyi’s biggest opening to date.
It propelled him to 128 million total streams for the year, landing as the seventh most-streamed Nigerian album on Spotify.
Standouts like “AMA”, “Shaolin”, and “Happy Song” dominated Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 30, with all 14 tracks charting simultaneously.
Asake, rounding out the top three, demonstrated catalogue depth with three albums in Spotify Nigeria’s Top 10, including the enduring Lungu Boy from 2024. His independent pivot via Giran Republic paid off with “Why Love”, crowned Apple Music Nigeria’s biggest song of 2025 and a chart-topper.
