Cardi B’s sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?”, has officially been certified 4x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The certification signifies that the album has sold four million album-equivalent units in the U.S. This was achieved less than two months after the project’s September 19 release.
The 23-track album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 200,000 equivalent units, securing the biggest opening week for a female R&B/hip-hop album in 2025. The project was certified Platinum on release day and achieved 2x Platinum status by September 29.
The album’s rapid sales were boosted by streaming—totaling over 4 billion Spotify plays—downloads, and physical copies. The tracklist includes reincorporated, previously released multi-platinum singles “WAP” (9x Platinum) and “UP” (5x Platinum).
Lead single “Outside” and the follow-up “Imaginary Playerz” both secured spots in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 chart. Cardi B had addressed the strategic inclusion of her earlier hits on social media in June.
She stated on X: “WAP and UP are my biggest songs, they deserve a home on this project.”
“Am I the Drama?” has earned three Grammy Award nominations for solo tracks in the Best Rap Performance categories.
