Mexican authorities have arrested 16 individuals in connection with the kidnapping and murder of B King, and DJ Regio Clown. The arrests, was announced by the State of Mexico Attorney General’s Office are linked to a powerful drug trafficking ring operating in the capital.
The two musicians were abducted from a gym in Mexico City’s upscale Polanco neighborhood on September 16, 2025. Their bodies, bearing stab wounds, were discovered the following day along a highway outside the capital.
Investigators state the homicides stem from a turf war over the distribution of “tusi,” a pink synthetic designer narcotic. The crime was connected to the Unión de Tepito gang after authorities traced a silver Mercedes-Benz, used in the abduction, to suspect Jaime N., alias “Puga.”
The Attorney General’s Office issued a formal statement detailing the official motive:
“The murder of the Colombian musicians is related to the commercialization of narcotics, a debt one of them had with a criminal organization, and a personal relationship with a man identified as ‘El Pantera.’”
Another suspect, Christopher N., known as “El Comandante,” is reportedly tied to the fugitive “El Pantera.” The Mercedes was recovered on September 24 in a building where authorities also rescued another kidnapping victim, exposing links to drug trafficking and loan-sharking. Separately, four Colombian detainees have alleged torture by prosecutors, including suffocation with plastic bags, to force confessions.
