A class-action lawsuit has been filed in a Missouri court naming rapper Drake, streamer Adin Ross, and online casino operator Stake. The suit accuses the defendants of promoting an illegal and deceptive gambling platform to residents of Missouri.

The complaint alleges that Drake and Ross misled their followers by promoting personal wagers on the Stake platform while allegedly using “house money” provided by the company. The suit claims this practice minimized their personal risk while maximizing the marketing appeal of the platform.

The plaintiffs assert that the defendants are glamorizing a highly addictive site, which they claim threatens the welfare of Missouri residents, particularly young people.

The filing cites Drake as a prominent endorser of Stake, influencing millions of followers through social media posts featuring multimillion-dollar wagers. The rapper shares betting slips on his Instagram account, which has 142 million followers, and his X account, which has 38 million followers.

The plaintiffs are seeking monetary damages and the equitable discharge of profits.

Stake is accused of operating an unlicensed online gambling site and disguising its operations as a “social casino”, which the suit claims violates Missouri’s statewide ban on online gambling. The lawsuit charges the defendants with unfair and deceptive practices and alleges that influencers were paid millions to livestream sessions specifically targeting younger audiences, including teenagers.
