50 Cent has announced plans to involve Eminem in creating new music connected to the upcoming Street Fighter film. The rapper shared the update on Instagram while promoting the film, scheduled for release in 2026.
Posting a promotional image confirming his casting as Balrog, 50 Cent wrote: “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter.” “New Music on the way.”
The announcement followed confirmation of 50 Cent’s role in the Street Fighter reboot, where he portrays Balrog, a former boxer. Reports indicate he underwent extensive physical training and performed several stunts during production for the character.
The film features a wide ensemble cast including Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Orville Peck, and WWE superstar Roman Reigns, Production details describe the project as a major reboot of the long-running video game franchise.
50 Cent and Eminem share a long collaborative history, beginning in the early 2000s through Eminem’s Shady Records imprint. Their partnership produced tracks including “Patiently Waiting”, “Don’t Push Me”, “Gatman & Robin”, and “You Don’t Know”.
Their most recent collaboration occurred in December 2024 on “Gunz N Smoke”, alongside Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg. The track appeared on the Missionary collaborative album released by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg.
