50 Cent has denied any involvement in a backstage physical confrontation between Ja Rule and a gang of three attackers at an R&B concert in Brooklyn.
The incident occurred on November 21 at the Barclays Center during a Monica and Brandy’s “The Boy Is Mine” concert
Ja Rule, later confirmed on his ICONN app livestream that he was struck in a scuffle involving three individuals who approached him backstage.
Capitalise the first letters of words that begin sentences rumours linked the incident to 50 Cent, whose long-standing rivalry with Ja Rule has been a prominent feature in hip-hop. 50 Cent, in London on a business trip, denied any role in the incident, stating: “We all too grown to be scheduling jumpings at a Monica-n-Brandy show.”
Ja Rule also spoke on the incident: “I woke up this morning and had to laugh… they really tried to jump me at the boy is mine concert!!!”, he said.
Concert promoter Live Nation confirmed it is reviewing security footage and has implemented enhanced security protocols for future dates. No arrests have been made by the police, who classified the incident as a minor disturbance.
